The gallery gives an insight into the subjects and views that inspire me to take pictures. The selection of photos in my photo gallery changes as new areas and scenes come my way. The majority of photos are taken during “clearing-my-head” walks, bike rides, and while traveling. Moments may also be immortalized when a beautiful image unexpectedly appears in an unusual situation. In a state where the hand grabs the camera without the thought. A camera that is always at hand thanks to the mobile phone.
“Camera as a companion through life”
My first camera was bought with money saved at the age of seven. Since then, cameras have been replaced one by one over the years. Now it’s usually the mobile camera that’s always at hand. Occasionally, I take the digital camera with me, but the quality of the mobile photos is good enough for my needs. It is in the moment, in the present, that the best images are captured. And it’s best done when the mobile phone is quickly brought to hand.
The images in the photo gallery are unedited and without filters to capture the authenticity of the moment. In some cases, the photos are cropped, but they are in their original format for the most part. The challenge is to make the pictures look good at the moment they are taken. To see the image and the composition and quickly capture it. Sure, sometimes the colors don’t match the original subject, but so be it. Stripped down and be as it is. Like life in its entirety.
“Nature is constantly creating new works of art.”
Continuous and powerful creation happens of its own accord in nature. The same subject can change within minutes as the weather and wind change that quickly. The changing of the seasons, animals, plants, sun, rain, everything is a constantly changing work of art without competition. Herein lies the fascination of taking the camera on hikes and bike rides; being able to capture the moments of change that still create a whole.
I will add my favorite images as they become available and if you would like to purchase any, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org. It’s also possible to buy them on my page on Patreon.
