Constant Change Is Life

The unexpected and unpredictable in life, the constant change when alive. Always movement, though most changes pass more or less unnoticed. Small changes in a direction that, from time to time, are only noticeable when I end up with the result of them. Often surprised.

Changes for the better

Changes when moving through life that always end up for the better. I know, many times, or most of the time, changes are scary and often hurt, and I ask myself, Why did this happen? Even changes I’m happy about are changes, and a turmoil of feelings is stirred up. And I know by now, in a later stage of life, that what hurts the most is to cling to something that it’s time to let go.

Clinging on

I still do it, cling on, and the signs of letting go are getting stronger the longer I don’t listen to the voice and feeling within that knows it has to go. Albert Camus once wrote that the toughest thing to do is to let go of what no longer serves you, and what is no longer needed or wanted. That being habits, beliefs, things, people, etc., is the same experience. It’s a change, and it’s scary, and it often hurts.

Walking in trust

Trusting life and using gut, heart, and head to take action in the right direction. It always works out for the best. And then life lines up, pieces fall into place. It takes effort, but not struggle. One magical happening after the other. Like recently, when it unexpectedly took me to the south.

Unexpected travel to the south

Because of changes in a family member’s health, I hastily decided to travel south for some days. And life lined up. The assessments, doctors’ appointments, flight prices, work schedule, etc., lined up in an absolutely magical way that I could not have planned better myself. And now I’m at my favorite café, Ritz Conditori, having my daily double espresso and writing. Grabbing each moment to enjoy life when alive.

Always something to enjoy

When looking for and focusing on gratitude and blessings in daily life, they pile up, and the list is endless. Every day, there are good things in life to smile about when looking for them. Things that are taken for granted until they stop working or are still there. What crosses my mind while writing this is that I’m happy and grateful to be alive, to be able to help others, and to still write my blogs.

Time to go, and I’m already looking forward to writing my next blog post and to hearing from you.

Love and hugs,

Cathrin
